Solar Mounting Structure
a. Install the solar mounting structure immediately after the final roof slab.
b. Provide minimum 300 × 300 mm civil foundation blocks for each structure leg.
c. Complete waterproofing, anti-heat coating, and tiling after structure installation.
d. Helps other vendors (plumbing, tanks, UPVC, softener, heat pump, AC/VRV, etc.) plan their space and routing.
2. Conduits from Top Roof to Electrical Room / Inverter Location
a. Solar wiring includes 3 separate earthing cables (6mm) + 1 AC cable (4-core, 4/6mm depending on system size).
b. Provide 3 nos. 25 mm conduits from the roof to the earthing pit & DISCOM meter.
c. Provide four (4) dedicated 25 mm conduits for hybrid systems (with battery).
d. Provide either strip earthing or minimum 6 mm² copper earthing cable (green) from the top roof to the earthing pit.
3. Earthing (Grounding)
a. Provide three (3) separate earthing pits dedicated for the solar system, each with minimum 3.0 m depth (or as per local norms). Connect these pits to the solar earthing bus using copper/GI conductor.
b. If the building has a lift, note that lift systems typically require two (2) separate earthing points. Ensure lift earthing is independent but coordinated within the overall building earthing scheme.
