Solar Inverter

What is a Solar Inverter?

A solar inverter, also known as a photovoltaic (PV) inverter, is a crucial component of the solar power system. Its convert’s the direct current (DC) electricity generated by solar panels into alternating current (AC) electricity suitable for use.

How to it works?

It converter DC to AC power by using MOSFET  or IGBT as per system requirement.  Solar panels have certain electrical characteristics, including their maximum power point (MPP). The MPP represents the specific voltage and current combination at which the solar panel operates most efficiently to produce the maximum power output.  It adjusts the voltage and current load on the panels to maintain the system's operation at the MPP, ensuring that the solar panels are operating at their peak efficiency and generating the maximum possible power.

Types of Solar Inverter?

What is the Hybrid Inverter?

The Hybrid Solar Inverter having facility to charge the battery with PV and grid if Solar power gets access it can export to the Grid. Its can be charge the battery with Solar PV and Grid with same time it can help to provide the best charging by which battery life can be improved. The hybrid mostly manufactured without transformer but in India some of manufacture are make with transformer which is more suitable for the Indian market.

What is the Off Grid Inverter?

The Off Grid Solar Inverter having facility to charge the battery with PV and converter battery power DC to AC there can be grid charging facility or not both conditions it will called as Off Grid Inverter.  Most commonly known as Off Grid Solar Inverter having PV charging  & Grid Charging facility with inverting the DC power in to the AC power either Single Power (230V) or  Three Phase 440V.

Off- Grid Inverter

What is the On Grid Inverter?

An on-grid inverter, also known as a grid-tied inverter or grid-connected inverter, is a type of solar inverter used to converter DC solar power into AC power  that can be used to power electrical devices in homes or businesses and feed any excess power back into the grid.

What is the Micro Inverter?

Unlike traditional string inverters, which are connected to multiple solar panels in a series, microinverters are designed to be installed on each individual solar panel.

What is the Power Optimizers?

Technically it is not the inverter but part of the string or central inverter.  Power optimizers are devices installed at each solar panel that optimize the DC power output before sending it to a centralized inverter, similar to microinverters. The  out put of the Power optimizers are always in DC.
