Solar PV (poto-voltic) panels or Solar Modules

What is the solar pv panels ?

Solar panels are made up of small units called solar cells, EVA sheets, tempered Glass or toughened glass, junction box.  Once's solar cells collectively joints in certain form and produce the certain voltages and current called solar modules or solar panels.

How Solar Panel works ?

When sun shine in to solar panel due to radiation the electrons moves from ground state to excited states which causes the electricity flow. Once the sun shines onto a solar cells the sunlight energy is absorbed by the PV cells. This energy is responsible for movement of electrons this movement cases the DC electricity.

How many types of solar panels avalable in the market?

Polycrystalline solar modules, also known as multicrystalline solar modules, are a type of solar panel made from multiple small silicon crystals, rather than a single large crystal, which is used in monocrystalline solar panels. During the manufacturing process, molten silicon is poured into a rectangular mold and allowed to cool and solidify. The resulting block is then sliced into wafers, which are then assembled into solar cells.

Polycrystalline solar panels have a distinctive blue color, due to the way the multiple crystals reflect light. They are less efficient than monocrystalline solar panels, but they are also less expensive to produce, making them a popular choice for residential and commercial solar installations where cost is a primary consideration.

2. Monocrystalline Solar modules

Monocrystalline solar modules are a type of solar panel made from a single silicon crystal, which is why they are also known as single-crystalline solar panels. During the manufacturing process, a cylindrical silicon ingot is produced by melting highly pure silicon and allowing it to cool and solidify in a controlled environment. The ingot is then sliced into thin wafers, which are then assembled into solar cells.

Monocrystalline solar panels have a uniform dark black color and are known for their high efficiency, durability, and longevity. They are more expensive to produce than polycrystalline solar panels, but they also have a higher power output per square foot, making them a popular choice for both residential and commercial solar installations where space is limited.

3. Mono Halfcut Solar modules

Mono half-cut solar modules are a type of monocrystalline solar panel that have been designed to increase their efficiency and durability. They are made by cutting a standard monocrystalline solar cell in half, which reduces the amount of electrical resistance and improves the panel's efficiency. The half-cut cells are then assembled into modules with multiple strings of cells, which are connected in series. By dividing each cell into two smaller cells, the voltage of the module is increased, and the current is reduced, which reduces the power loss caused by shading and increases the overall efficiency of the panel.

Mono half-cut solar modules are also known for their improved durability. Because the cells are smaller, they are less prone to cracking and damage from temperature fluctuations and other environmental factors. They are a popular choice for residential and commercial solar installations where space is limited, and high efficiency and durability are essential.

4. Thin-Film Solar Panels

Thin-film solar panels are a type of solar module that use thin layers of semiconductor materials to convert sunlight into electricity. Unlike traditional crystalline silicon solar cells used in mono and poly solar panels, thin-film solar cells are made using a deposition process, where a thin layer of the semiconductor material is deposited onto a substrate, such as glass, metal, or plastic. There are several types of semiconductor materials used in thin-film solar cells, including cadmium telluride (CdTe), copper indium gallium selenide (CIGS), and amorphous silicon (a-Si).

Thin-film solar panels are lighter and more flexible than traditional solar panels, and they can be made into a variety of shapes and sizes. They also have a lower manufacturing cost and can be produced in large quantities, making them a popular choice for utility-scale solar installations.

However, thin-film solar panels typically have a lower efficiency than traditional solar panels, which means they require more surface area to produce the same amount of power. They are also more susceptible to degradation over time due to exposure to sunlight and environmental factors.
